Who we are

Plant Doctor is an app that identifies plants from photos, diagnoses their problems, suggests treatments and reminds you when to water and fertilize. App owner: Hany Tawfik. Contact: hanyateef@gmail.com

Data we handle

• Plant photos you take or choose: sent to the AI service for analysis; a small copy is saved with the result.
• Your questions to the plant expert: sent to the AI service to write the answer; the conversation is stored on your device only.
• Your garden: your plants' names and photos, watering and feeding schedules and scan history, so you can return to them and receive reminders.
• What you grow and your country: to tune the diagnosis and watering schedule to your climate.
• Daily scan count and subscription status: to apply the free limit and the subscription.
• An anonymous account ID created automatically, with no name, email or phone number.

We don't ask for your name, email or location, we don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell any data.

Artificial intelligence

No photo or question is sent before your explicit consent inside the app. The photo or question is sent, together with only what you grow and your country, to Google Gemini via Google Firebase, and is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy. You can withdraw consent anytime from “Account”. AI results can sometimes be wrong.

Subscriptions

In-app purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat only to know your subscription status, using the anonymous ID.

Reminders

Watering and feeding notifications are scheduled on your device itself. You can turn them off from “Account” or in your device settings.

Where data is stored

On Google Firebase servers, until you delete it.

Deleting your data

In “Account”, tap “Permanently delete my data” to delete your plants, scans and settings immediately. To delete everything related to your account (including the scan counter and subscription status), email hanyateef@gmail.com and it will be deleted within 30 days.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.
